Diana Alvarez

Alvarez, Diana Green  
Born September 9th, 1958 and passed away Thursday, July 28, 2016. She was born to John T. Green and Beverly Green in Savannah, Georgia. She moved to the San Antonio, Texas area as a young child. Diana considered herself a Texan. She had a deep love for all things Texas, which included George Strait, Dallas Cowboys and Bill Miller's Brownies. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with her five children and eleven grandchildren. Diana was a loving mother who was extremely proud of her children.  Her Favorite time of the year were the colder seasons.  She loved to bake and decorate for the upcoming holidays. It gave her the chance to express her creative side. She also enjoyed spending time with the love of her life, her husband George Alvarez.  Diana relocated with George to New Mexico from California. They did so after she retired from The University of California in San Francisco. Diana will be greatly missed by many. Service will be held on Thursday, August 4th, at 1:00 p.m.  Interment to follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Diana's honor to The American Heart Association www.heart.org.
