Age 76, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 in Albuquerque, NM He was born in Lubbock, TX on January 24, 1941 to Elijah and Fannie Belle Taylor Broadstreet. Services for Gene Broadstreet will be held at the First United Methodist Church In Dimmitt, TX on September 8, 2017 at 11:30. Gene was a 50-year member of the Masonic Lodge in Dimmitt, and Hereford, TX, and he was an employee of the United States Post Office from 1962 until October 1992.  His favorite pastime was riding his motorcycle. Gene was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Wayne and Mark Broardstreet; a daughter, Susan Julian Lee; two brothers, Harold and Gerald Broadstreet; and a granddaughter, Allison Jean Warren. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Broadstreet; three daughters, Valerie Wichmann of Defiance, OH, Elle Cline of Amarillo, TX, and Kathryn Young of Chickasha, OK; a son, Darrell Julian of Albuquerque, NM; grandsons, Anthony and Alex Revilla, and Cotye Julian; granddaughters, Jenna Warren and Halie Garcia; a brother, Glenn Broadstreet of Mariposa, CA; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, all whom he loved very much. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Dimmitt, TX, Ronald McDonald House in Lubbock, TX, or any charity of one's choosing.
