Age 81, passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2016. He was born in Horse Springs, NM on January 3, 1935, to Damacio and Esther Gonzales Gutierrez. At the age of 13 his family moved to Socorro, NM. Hilario graduated from Socorro High School and went on to attend college at NMSU in Las Cruces, NM. Farming and Ranching all his life, Hilario knew the value of hard work, honesty, integrity, and commitment. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Arturo Gutierrez; sister in law, Selfa Gutierrez; and brother in law, Juan J. Carrejo. Hilario is survived by his sister, Viola Carrejo; and many nieces and nephews. The Holy Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 26, 2016, at 9:30 am at La Sagrada Familia Church Lemitar, NM, with the Mass of Resurrection to follow at 10:00 am with Celebrant Father Jose Hernandez. Burial will take place at Lemitar Cemetery following service. Pallbearers will be Ray Carrejo, Ernest Carrejo, Eddie Gutierrez, Leroy Gutierrez, Damacio Carrejo and Damacio Gutierrez.
