John H. Winder, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016. He was born on December 25, 1934 in Douglas, Wyoming and was a resident of New Mexico since 1972 after many moves.
John was a US Army veteran and retired from Shell Oil Company in 1992 after 36 years of employment. He had a passion for the outdoors and was happiest when he was hunting or fishing. He was a long-time member and Vice President of Zia Rifle and Pistol Club in Albuquerque.
Survivors include his wife of 58+ years, Twila, children John W. Winder of West New York, NJ, Joel Winder and Deborah Winder of Albuquerque, NM, sister Laura Boyd and husband of Rapid City, SD, grandchildren Jonathan and Cory, and three great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday June 25, 2016 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services~Wyoming Chapel.
