LANE WILLIAM, 71, passed away November 28, 2016 surrounded by his family. Lane was born October 3, 1945 in Rugby, ND to Elaine and Emil DePriest. Lane is survived by Carletta, his wife of 45 years, daughters Shauna Wirth (Steven), Denny Deegan, (Paul), Elaine Warner(Rob), and sons, David De Priest (wife Kirsten), Richard De Priest (wife Michele), 29 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren, brothers, Russell De Priest, and Dennis De Priest, honorary brother, Rick La Monda.

Lane was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Loreen Torreor, brother David De Priest, brother Richard De Priest,  grandson, Devin De Priest, and nephew, Dennis La Monda.  

Lane was a special kind of hero to all who knew him and loved him. He was veteran of Viet Nam, with two tours of duty. He spent 7 years in the U.S. Army. He worked as an over-the-road truck driver. His main goal in his life was to make his wife happy, and love his family. He accomplished this with the best of enthusiasm, and all the love he could muster.

Interment will be at 9:45 A.M. Tuesday at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Family and friends will gather afterwards to honor his life and memory at the home of his daughter, Denny Deegan.

His memory will always be cherished and his presence will be deeply missed.
