Lorenzo (Larry) Rivera

Lorenzo (Larry) Rivera Age 84, died peacefully surrounded by his family and Pastor on Wednesday, July 20, 2016.  He was born in Albuquerque, NM on August 9, 1931, to Alex and Rose Rivera.  He grew up in northern New Mexico.

Lorenzo was the owner of Larry's Hair Styling for over 50 years. He served in the Army in Korea as a Private First Class.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Isabel Leal Rivera, and son, Rev. Fr. Edward Rivera.  

Lorenzo is survived by daughters, Elizabeth Rivera of Larkspur, CO, Pamela Ybarra and husband, Glenn, Anita Feight, and husband Larry, Jennifer Randall and husband Ryan, from Albuquerque, NM and daughter Susan McKenna and husband, Todd from Phoenix, AZ, sons; Deacon Laurence (Tony) Rivera and wife Kathy, Steve Rivera and wife Cathy, from Albuquerque, NM, Timothy Rivera and wife Sandy, from Regina, NM and Robert Rivera from Lakewood, CO.    24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be his seven grandsons; Glenn Ybarra Jr., Laurence Rivera II, Andrew Rivera, Christopher McKenna, Jason McKenna, Aaron McKenna and Matthew Randall.

A Rosary will be held at Our Lady of Annunciation Catholic Church, 621 Vermont St NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 on Monday, July 25, 2016 at 7:00 pm.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Annunciation, Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 8:30 am.  

Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery, 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 3:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given in Lorenzo's honor to the Little Sisters of the Poor www.littlesistersofthepoorgallup.org, or a charity of your choice that ministers to the poor and homeless.
