Manuel C Aragon

ARAGON - Manuel C. Aragon, 80, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2011 in Socorro, NM. Manuel was born on June 17, 1930 in Socorro, to Andres and Estella (Martinez) Aragon. He is survived by his loving daughters, Lydia Aragon Pineda and husband, Santiago; and Theresa Aragon Chavez and husband, Bernie; his devoted sons, Ray Aragon and wife, Maryanne; and Bobby Aragon and wife, Mary; 14 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; one sister, Alvita Aragon; and many nieces and nephews. Manuel was a lifelong resident of Socorro. He was a hard working man and jack of all trades. He was very skilled at fixing almost anything. He enjoyed upholstery work and was sharp at mechanics. Manuel was a miner in his younger years. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved to hunt. Manuel loved horses. Manuel’s grandchildren were his pride and joy. Manuel was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years of marriage, Erlinda (Romero) Aragon; his grandson, Elias Chavez, and many sisters and brothers.
