Marcella "Marcie" Archuleta

Marcella Archuleta of Socorro, New Mexico went to be with the lord on July 31, 2016 at the age of 79. Marcella was born on April 3, 1937 in Socorro to Miguel Torres and  Rufina Gonzales. As a child care provider for  many years, an important part of Marcella's life was the devotion and attention she gave to the children in her care. She truly loved them and developed a lasting attachment to them and their families. She was a devoted catholic and loved the Holy Mother and praying the rosary. Marcella was also known as a  generous person who enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends and family members and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Abelino Torres. Marcella is survived by her husband, Pete  Archuleta; daughters, Donna Lassey and Dorothy Davis and husband Stan; her cat and special companion Bogo; son, Eric Archuleta; two grandchildren, Matthew Lassey and Julie Ontiveros and husband Jorge;  great grandson, Cole Ontiveros; great granddaughter, Stella Ontiveros; brother, Gene Torres and wife Joanne; her close friends Lora Padilla and Lolo Madrid; as well as many other relatives. The Holy Rosary to be recited on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 8:30 am at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, New Mexico with Mass of Resurrection to follow at 9:00 am .  Celebrant Father John Anasiudu.  Burial will take place at  San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service.
