Age 80, passed into Glory to be with her Savior and Lord, Friday, July 28, 2017. She was born in Sheldon, IA on December 12, 1936, to Jerry Vander Pol and Nellie (Vander Brake) Vander Pol. She was a member of the Fellowship Christian Reformed Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Donald DeJong "Don"; brothers, Gerard Vander Pol and Harold Vander Pol. Thelma is survived by sisters, Joyce Van Berkum (Russ), Lois Postma (Don), Martha Leese (Marvin), Betty Post (Marlin); son, Jeris DeJong (Debie), daughter, Twyla DeJong; son, Loren DeJong (April), son, Garry DeJong (Lori Ann); grandchildren, Jerod (Elizabeth), David (Allison), Rhiannon (Nathan) and Lauryl (John); great grandchildren, Aubryn, Jonathan, Darla, Raegan and Joelle. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2017, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Sara Chapel. A Memorial Service will be held on August 3, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Fellowship Christian Reformed Church at 4800 Indian School Rd NE Albuquerque, NM 87110.
