Toby was a proud US Army Veteran and served our country in Korea and Japan. He loved our Country and was very patriotic. Upon returning to the United States he worked for many years at the historic Hilton Hotel (now the Hotel Andaluz) in downtown Albuquerque; thereafter he worked for over 25 years in the press room of the Albuquerque Tribune.
The last seven years of his life he lived at St. Johns Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in ABQ. There he made many friends with residents, visitors, and staff. In particular, Ron Baze -his buddy, who preceded him in death and whom he greatly missed. Our gratitude to Sandra Oaxaca whose visits made his day. The family thanks them for the love and care given to him. Toby will be forever remembered as a kind, loving, sweet, and compassionate man with an easy smile, a great sense of humor and style. He was a man of tremendous faith who loved his God, Country, family and mankind. He was loved very much and will be sorely missed.
