March 16, 1921 - December 6, 2012

Giudice, Joseph E
Age 91, passed away December 6, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM. Joe was born March 16, 1921 in Oneonta, NY to Sebastian and Maddalena (Pizza) Giudice, the oldest of ten children. He grew up on a dairy farm (as he thought everybody should), learning the life values that defined him--hard work, responsibility, dependability, honesty, and loyalty. He was part of "The Greatest Generation," serving his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII in Midland, TX. During his service, he met Vi, his wife for the next 50 years. Joe joined Exxon Corporation, where he spent his entire career as an Engineering Draftsman. Exxon moved Joe and Vi to Houston, TX where they lived until Vi's death in 1996. In 1999, he moved to Albuquerque to be closer to his family. Joe was devoted first to his Heavenly Father, then, his wife and family, and third, his country. He lived by the life philosophy: "Your need is my priority." Joe easily and quickly endeared himself to all who met him. He is survived by his children Judy Tull (Bob), Louise Giudice (Vincent); grandchildren, Krista Rippons (CT), Brian Long (Heather), Linda Revol (Stephane), and Paula Ricca (Dave), Debbie Mitchell, Donna Lazeski (Tommy), Sandy Giudice, Angela McCorkle (Bud); great-grandchildren, Julia, Matthew, Ethan, Avery, Antoine, Laura, Camille, Andrew, Nathan, Stephanie, Matt, Phil, Emily, Lizzy, Jeremy and Markie; and great-great grandchildren, Ella and Mia. Joe is also survived by his brothers Frank, Vincent and Nick; sisters Ginnie and Odie; many nieces, nephews; and numerous Pizza and Iudice cousins throughout the U.S., Italy, Sicily, Australia, and Venezuela. Joe was also preceded in death by son, Buddy; brother, Albert; sisters, Rose and Lucy and grandson, Richard. A Celebration of Joe's life will take place 3:30 pm, Saturday, December 15, 2012, at Sandia Presbyterian Church, 10704 Paseo del Norte NE, 87122 with Rev. David Casson officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Oaks Cemetery in Houston, TX in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of his three favorite charities Veterans of Foreign Wars (, American Red Cross (, or Salvation Army (
