Arthur Johnny Vanlandingham, age 93 yrs., died Nov. 10th at his home in Montebello in Albuquerque, NM.
Early in life, he was a soldier on the “Island of Iwo Jima’, during the war with Japan. It was a brutal war with the loss of lives among American soldiers. When the war was won by the Americans, they raised out flag to signal to us that our troops had won the war.
Aurthur owned ‘Van’s Midtown Volvo’ in Albuquerque with his wife, Millie. After retirement, they traveled to several different and interesting Countries around the world, including Australia and New Zealand, where they made new friend and shopped for clothing, etc.
Besides his wife, he leaves behind two sons, Kurt and Timothy Vanlandingham, now men in their 60’s. Father is very much missed.
