Mrs. Benedicta “Bennie” Chavez at the young age 99 and a resident of Albuquerque passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11, 2017 to join her beloved husband of 58 years, Richard Chavez. Mrs. Chavez is survived by her daughter, Ruth Ann Sanchez; grandchildren, Denise Weisheit and husband, Douglas, and Ricardo Zamora and wife, Angela; great-grandchildren: Andrew Martinez, Matthew Martinez and wife Mandrelle, Marissa Martinez, Alexandria Dupre, Nicholas Zamora and Daniel Kohler; great-great grandson, Jordan Jiron as well as several nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held Monday, March 20, 2017 at 6:00 pm and a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 3113 Carlisle Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church, 5414 Fortura Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers will be: Andrew and Matthew Martinez, Joseph and Rick Griego, Dale and Patrick Chavez, David Gurule and Danny Perea.
