Russell A. DePriest

Russell A. De Priest, 74, of Rio Rancho NM passed away on October 12, 2017 at Rust Memorial Hospital in Rio Rancho after a short struggle with cancer. Russ was born August 08, 1943 to Emil and Elaine De Priest, in Rugby, ND. He married Melodi Krininger. They had a duughter Misti Dawn, and later divorced. He later married Diane Schmidt on August 26, 1973, in Santa Fe, NM. Russell spent nearly 11 years in the United Air Force, doing one tour in VietNam. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David Reed( Dona), sister Loreen(Torreor), brother, Richard (Mary), brother, Lane W.(Carletta), as well as his wife Diane(Schmidt). Russell is survived by his daughter Misti Dawn (Jimmy) Shirley of Killeen, TX, grandchildren, Jimmy Shirley of Killeen, TX., and Melodi Schnepp of Killeen, TX, Great grandchildren, Amberly Shirley, of Lampasas TX, and Angelina Shirley of Lampasas, TX. and Mai'Lei of Killeen, TX, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Russell will be missed deeply, and his memories will always be cherished.
　
Services are to be held at the National Cemetery in Santa Fe, New Mexico on October 26, 2017 at 9:45 AM
