Brown died March 7, 2010, in Santa Fe. He was born Nov. 21, 1974, in Fort Defiance, into the Edgewater/Salt People Clan for the Sleeping Rock/Bitter Water People Clan. Brown attended school in Orem, Utah and was currently attending school at Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, majoring in creative writing. He has constructed fiction stories as well as poetry. He was an adventurous traveler and has lived and touched lives in Utah, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, Louisiana, Texas and New Mexico. Survivors include his parents, Freddie H. Brown, Colleen C. Brown, both of St. Michaels; brothers, Beau Brown of Albuquerque, Freddie Brown Jr. of St. Michaels; sisters, Janette Brown of St. Michaels, Elizabeth Brown of Tucson, Cynthia Brown of St. Michaels; grandparents, Grant R. Benally, Louise Benally of Chinle. Brown was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tsosie H. Brown, Mary E. Brown.
