Alan Sehlmeyer

Age 68, passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016. He was born in Elyria, OH on April 28, 1948, to Allen and Nellie Freiberger Sehlmeyer.

Alan is survived by his daughters, Mandy Griego of Albuquerque and Mistie Miller Hansen of Phoenix, AZ; sons, Mike Sehlmeyer and wife, Liz and Brandon Sehlmeyer and wife, Wendy, both of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, Tayler, Maleesa, Haley, Mikayla, Rickey, Tanner, Trinity, and Deyja; and sisters, Dianne Owings of Michigan, Carolynn Teal and Bonnie Van Hook, both of Florida; He is also survived by his life partner, Kathleen Caplan.

He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Sehlmeyer and mother, Nellie Sehlmeyer.

Alan graduated from Western Reserve High School in 1966. He served in the US Army. Alan enjoyed golf, pool, bowling, ping pong, cards, basketball, and baseball. He was a member of the Los Altos Golf Course and a parishioner at Risen Savior Catholic Community.

A Vigil will be held Tuesday, October 18, 2016, 7:00 p.m., at Daniels Family Funeral Services, Wyoming Chapel. Reception to immediately follow.

Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016, 10:00 a.m., at Risen Savior Catholic Community, 7701 Wyoming Blvd NE.  Interment to follow will take place at 1:30 p.m., at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
