Sandoval died Jan. 13, 2010, in Crownpoint. He was born Aug. 11, 1942, in Borrego Pass, into the Two Who Came to the Water People Clan for the Edge of Water People Clan. Sandoval worked on the railroad in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, and was a rancher for many years, then became a heavy equipment operator and worked for Gallup Sand and Gravel. Survivors include his sons, Guy Sandoval of Albuquerque, Albert Sandoval Jr. of Borrego Pass, Lynch Sandoval of Crownpoint; daughters, Veronica R. Hopper of Albuquerque, Sharon Sandoval of Canoncito; brother, Tony Sandoval Jr. of Heartbutte; sisters, Portty Tolth of Borrego Pass, Rosemary Christian of Moriarity, Jessie Betone of Farmington; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Sandoval was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Barbone; father, Tony Sandoval Sr.; grandparents, HaGeeBah Hoskie, John Barbone. Pallbearers will be Lynch Sandoval, Jerome Sandoval, Anthony Sandoval, Eugene Tolth, Justin Begay, Elkin Begay. Arrangements are entrusted to: Cope Memorial Chapel
