Alberta "Berta" Marlene Jones

Alberta "Berta" Marlene Jones was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 8, 1949 to Antonio Jose Perea and Nellie Santillanes.

She graduated in 1967 from Albuquerque High School, afterwards she was a Manager for the City of Albuquerque for over 30 years.

Berta is preceded in death by her father Antonio Jose Perea, her mother Nellie Santillanes, her husband Ronald Jones and her son Eric Gomez.

She is survived by her son Antonio W. Gomez and his wife Monica from Rio Rancho, New Mexico, and her daughter Michelle DeHerrera and her husband Mike from Albuquerque, her step-daughter Lori Mino from Torrance, California, her sisters Frances Romero, Irma Perea-Beck and Debbie Otero all from Albuquerque, New Mexico,  her sister Sylvia Whitzon from Tucson, Arizona, New Mexico. Berta also has 4 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren.

Berta loved crocheting, quilting, traveling, singing and living life to the fullest! She was part of the Voters Rights of New Mexico, and the Loyal Order of Moose in Albuquerque, as well as, she was an active member of the Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque, she was very strong in her faith. Berta had many friends and enjoyed going on outings with them. She always had a smile on her face and never went a day without saying I Love You! Berta loved and was loved by many and will be truly missed.

Family requests that all flowers be sent to Daniels Family Funeral Service on Sara Road, no later than December 7th to ensure they are present for services December 8th.
