Alfred Joseph "Yank" Hauser, 79, of Bloomfield, died on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, in Bloomfield. He was born March 16, 1931, to August J. and Madalyn Hauser in West Hurley. Alfred was known to all as "Yank". He served in the U.S. Army. He built houses, service stations, and lamps. He was known as a perfectionist. He owned and operated H&S Inter for more than 10 years. Yank was married to his wife, Rosa, for 39 years. He was a very loving husband and father. Yank is survived by his wife; sons, Floyd Sherwood, John Sherwood, Lawrence Sherwood and Harry Sherwood; daughters, Lynn Deloreh, Cynthia Treadwell, and Connie Garrett; and 17 grandchildren.
