Alice G. Gruessing

GRUESSING- Alice G. Gruessing, 92, a longtime resident of Rio Rancho, NM passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011. She is survived by her children, Joseph Gruessing and wife Georgiana of Ellicott City, MD, Anthony Gruessing and wife Patricia of Las Cruces, NM, James William Gruessing and wife Siri of Arizona City, AZ; seven grandchildren, Alice, Bert, James Jr., Joseph, Peter, Anthony and Lori; nine great-grandchildren, Ashley, April, Brian, Emily Elizabeth, Edward Anthony, Annalee, Sarah Grace, Derek and Phillip; one great-great-grandchild, Anton. She was preceded in death by her husband Bert Gruessing in 1991. Alice was a 12th generation descendant of the Mayflower. She was also a member of T.O.P.S. and was an avid Washington Redskins fan. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, playing Bingo, watching soap operas, and completing arts and crafts of all types. Among the items she collected were teddy bears and stuffed elephants. Alice was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2011 at 1:00pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 1502 Sara road SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
