Alma Jean Childers Donovan

DONOVAN - Alma Jean Childers Donovan, 77, passed away on August 17, 2010, at her home in Sandia Heights. She was born in Burnside, KY, on September 11, 1932, and graduated from the University of Kentucky with BA degree. Jean is survived by her husband Garrett Donovan, who she married in 1954, and her children Debra (Mark Hershoren), Laura (Michael Almanza), Garrett (April Ketcham), and Jonathan (Lotus Dragon Tai Chi), and two grandchildren, Jay and Austin, a sister Billie (Harold) Askew and a niece Lenora Askew (John Hunter). Jean retired from the Charter Company as Vice President of Human Resources. A devoted member of Hillside Community Church, Jean was very grateful for the spiritual guidance of Dr. Susan Nettleton and Dr. Larry Morris. The family is grateful for the skill and compassion shown by the EMS and the deputies of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department. A professional Mom, and a lover of nature, music, and conversation, you will be missed. There will be a private graveside service for the family on Thursday, August 26, 2010.
