Alonzo Cervantes

Alonzo served in the Air Force from 1951 to 1953. He was born here in Albuquerque and called New Mexico home for most of his life. He was blessed to have strong support from his family, including his loving wife, Sharon, and his three sons. He loved his dog, Rosie, and his cat, Sassy.

Alonzo enjoyed being outdoors. He never missed an opportunity to go hunting, camping, fishing, or golfing. He had especially fond memories of camping in the mountains with her family when his children were young. Alonzo played both basketball and baseball and became a coach later in life. His favorite indoor hobby was going to the casino. He enjoyed listening to classical music, watching Western’s, and watching Catholic Mass on TV. Alonzo’s Catholic faith was very important to him and anchored him through the hard times.

The Community Living Center Hospice staff would like to extend their sympathies to Alonzo’s loved ones. We thank you for allowing us to care for him in his final hours.
