Andrea “Andy” Santino, beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 81 at Life Spire Assisted Living in Rio Rancho, NM.  She was born in Marlborough, MA on 27 September, 1939 to Curtis and Shirley Taylor.  When Andy was about 11 years of age, the Taylor family moved to Roswell, NM. While in High School at Roswell, Andy would meet and eventually marry Frank Santino on 8 December 1956.

Shortly after their marriage, Frank would join the United States Navy.  Andy raised four children while crossing the United States several times on many moves to new duty locations.  Andy was the family rock, playing the role of mom and dad while Frank was frequently deployed.  After 30 years as a steadfast Navy wife, Andy was able to enjoy traveling, camping, ATV riding and spending time with her friends, family and grandchildren.

Andy is preceded in death by Frank, her husband of 58 years, James Covell, son in law and Angie Santino, daughter in law.  She is survived by her son Anthony and his wife Nikki, Vivienne Garcia and her husband Don, daughter Angela Covell, and son Curtis.  Andy has seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or any organization that supports Alzheimer’s research and treatment.

A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday 21, June, 2021 with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 2400 Southern Blvd SE, Rio Rancho, NM.
