It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Andrew F. Klee,72, of Rio Rancho, NM. He was a cherished son, brother, husband, and the visionary founder and CEO of JDETips as well as Math Camp 4 Adults. Andrew peacefully departed this world on February 12, 2024 at his wife's side. He was preceded in death by his father Howard Klee Sr., his mother Beecy Klee Fraser, his step-father Joseph Fraser, and his brother Steven Klee.
Andrew embodied the values of family, entertainment, and knowledge as a means to overcome personal challenges with communication and accessibility. Andrew's educational journey began at New Trier High School in Illinois, where he laid the foundation for a lifetime of intellectual curiosity. In 1973, Andrew earned his bachelor's degree from the University of North Dakota, a testament to his dedication to higher learning. His academic pursuits didn't end there, as he went on to receive his master's degree from the University of Colorado in 1984. These milestones reflected Andrew's commitment to knowledge and his desire to contribute to the fields that fueled his passions.
Andrew's journey was marked by a relentless pursuit of knowledge, a passion for education, and an unmatched ability to inject humor into every situation. His quick wit, infectious laughter, and love for puns made him a source of light for those around him.
For the past 15 years, Andrew found immeasurable happiness in the company of his loving wife, Elise Klee, of Rio Rancho, NM. Together, they created a life filled with love, laughter, and shared adventures. His passing leaves a void that echoes the depth of their connection, and the memories they created will forever be etched in the hearts of those who knew them as a couple.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Elise Klee, brother, Howard Klee Jr. (Julia) of Bend, OR, sister, Laura Klee of Carmel by the Sea, CA, and step sister Karen Conley Of Santa Fe, NM. He is also survived by his nephew, Blake Klee of Florida, nephew, Dave Klee of Connecticut, and niece, Gretchen Klee Musa of Illinois and his three loving cats. Their love and memories will serve as a testament to the impact Andrew had on the lives of those, he held dear.
Professionally, Andrew's impact reached far and wide as the founder and CEO of both JDETips and Math Camp4Adults.He founded JDETips after working for several years as a software engineer and well known problem solver for JDEdwards. He was just as committed to making software accessible for JDEdwards clients as he was to making mathematics accessible and enjoyable. Andy touched the lives of countless adults as well as younger students, leaving a legacy in the field of education and computers.
While his professional achievements were significant, Andrew's true passions lay in his love for travel and exploration. Whether exploring new landscapes, indulging in diverse cuisines, or immersing himself in different cultures, he embraced life with an adventurous spirit that inspired everyone around him.
