Angel Anne Parr

March 31, 1944 — August 5, 2022

Angel-Anne Parr passed away on Friday, August 5, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 78.

Angel was born on March 31,1944, in Providence, Rhode Island to Marjorie Angel and LeRoy Holland. She attended Rhode Island College and The University of Rhode Island.  She graduated with a BS in Early Childhood Education/Art and a MLS. Angel married Francis (Frank) C. Parr on November 27, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Her name, “Angel” perfectly described who she was as a person.  She was so kind, loving and caring to all whom she knew.  She was a loving mom, grandmother, and friend.

Angel had an extensive professional career teaching and working as a librarian starting in 1966 as a North Providence School teacher.  She then took another career as a children’s librarian in Cumberland, RI where she gained the experience to further her career as a Head Children’s Service’s Librarian at Cranston Public Library in RI.  She ended her career as the librarian at Our Lady of the Annunciation Catholic School in Albuquerque.

She enjoyed reading, traveling, and collecting art. She especially loved her horses and all of her beloved pets throughout her life. Angel’s “heart horse,” was always, Cheyenne, a gorgeous paint horse.  She was a dedicated member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and New Mexico Horse Breeders Association.

Angel and Frank fulfilled their dream of starting a new life in the Southwest.  While here in New Mexico, they were so blessed to find so many wonderful friends, who quickly became their Albuquerque family.  Angel and Frank immersed themselves in their passion for horses and the race horse community.

She loved sharing her Albuquerque experiences with visiting family and friends, especially attending the annual Balloon Fiesta.  Angel loved art and collected many interesting pieces throughout her life.

Angel is survived by her sons, Mark Randall (Tina) of Warwick, RI and Matthew Randall (Kara) of West Greenwich, RI; stepsons, Jeffrey Parr and Christopher Parr; stepdaughter, Stephanie Dee; grandchildren, Jake, Ethan, Brayden, Conor, Cameron, Maddison, Liam, Ella, James, Renee, and her beloved dog, Tiffany. She is preceded in death by her husband of 21 years, Francis C. Parr; her mother, Marjorie Angel and her father, LeRoy Holland.

In lieu of flowers, a charitable donation can be made to Rerun Thoroughbred Adoption or Southwest Franciscan Missionaries in honor of Angel-Anne Parr.
