83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. She was born in Socorro, NM on June 9, 1932 to Pedro R. and Julianita (Luna) Montoya. Angela was a lifelong resident of Socorro and loved her family more than anything. She loved listening to her sons play music and loved being in the company of her daughters. Angela enjoyed cooking, especially for her family. She enjoyed doing puzzles, dancing, and taking painting and photography classes. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Lorencita (Lencha) Gonzales and Juanita Garcia; her brothers, Joe and Alex; her first husband, George Murillo Sr.; granddaughter, Marilyn Heck; grandson, Elijah Murillo; and her loving husband, Eufracio Lucero. Angela is survived by devoted children, George Murillo and wife, Debbie; Susan Apodaca and husband, Rudy; Gloria Rico and husband, Steve; Celia Vallejos; Margaret Chavez and husband, John; Richard Murillo and wife, Yvonne; Dolores Heck and husband, Rick; Patrick Murillo and Jeanette Montoya; Loretta Tobin and husband, Raymond; Julie Kahsin and husband, Sonny; Gilbert Murillo and wife, Linda; and Frieda Chavez and husband, Dennis; her sister, Mary Lipinski; her brothers, Arsensio Montoya; Albert Montoya and wife, Josie; and Cardenio Montoya and wife, Sara; 31 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and close friends. Angela will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. The Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at 10:00 am with Rev. John DeCosta at the Daniels Family Funeral Services - Socorro Chapel, 309 Garfield, Socorro. Honorary pallbearers are her sons, George, Richard, Patrick, and Gilbert.
