Angela Salafia

Angela Salafia, 96, a resident of Rio Rancho, NM, for the past 48 years, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2024.

 

Born in Mola di Bari, Italy, Angela moved to New York as a child and lived there for years before moving to New Mexico in 1976.

 

 She was a very talented seamstress who enjoyed tending to her vegetable garden and cooking for the family. She was creative and 

resourceful in the kitchen, crafting signature dishes everyone loved. Angela will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

 

She is survived by her four children, Mary Ray and her husband Steve Ray, Paula Aprile, Loretta Murphy, and son Frank D. Salafia; seven grandchildren, Jennifer, Louis, Joseph, Rachelle, Erika, Angela, and TJ; and five great-grandchildren, Frankie, Finley, Riley, Cheyenna, and LaJune. Angela is preceded in death by her husband Frank, parents, one sister, and three brothers.

 

A Memorial Service will be held

Wednesday, April 17, 2024, at 10:00 am

 at Daniels Funeral Chapel - 4310 Sara Road SE Rio Rancho, NM.

Inurnment to follow services at Vista Verde Memorial Park.
