Angelina "Quezada" Miera

June 8, 1936 — March 26, 2014

Miera, Angelina Age 77, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014. She was born in Santa Maria Del Oro, Mexico on June 8, 1936, to Pablo Falcon and Juana Ibarra. Angelina is survived by children Pedro Quezada, Guadalupe Quezada, Yolando Ortega, Susana Gallardo, and David Quezada; Sister Licha Luna, and 30 grandchildren. A beautiful lady known as Angelina, Nina, Angie...To us, she is grandma, abuelita and mami, was a tiny woman with a big heart. She loved unconditionally. Abuelita was a wonderful woman full of life. She loved to garden and sew. She loved her family. She loved God deeply, read her bible every day and served faithfully in her church, Casa Del Rey. Grandma delighted in cooking with lots of love for her family. Her tamales, gorditas chile con queso, biscochitos, and empanadas were legendary. Though she didnt want to drive, and even avoided learning how, Nina knew the streets of Albuquerque intimately--she could tell you how to get to anywhere without reference to a map. Angelina loved to shop and always had good taste. Her daughters could often be found looking through her closet for something to wear. Her love and compassion for other people was overwhelming and she practiced it in her blended family. No one left her house without a hug and a full stomach. She was a grandmother, mother and sister to many, including a multitude of souls adopted into the family. She was the most gracious of hosts but she was more than a host. She was a trusted friend that you could always run to. She would tell you to respect others, but she would do it with forceful loving words. She was a perfect example of Proverbs 31: 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Casa Del Rey, 2500 Corona Drive Northwest, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87120 at 10:00 am. with a funeral service to follow on at 11:00 am.
