Guerra, Anita Monica 
Age 66, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018 in Albuquerque, NM. She was born in Socorro, NM on September 15, 1952, to Heinz and Marie Weltrich Lessau. Anita was a lifelong resident of Socorro. She worked at Eagle Pitcher before going to work at Socorro General Hospital where she retired in 2003 after 30 years of service. She enjoyed visiting with people, working on crafts, and talking on the phone. Anita enjoyed cooking and loved family gatherings. She was devoted to her children and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 31 years, Derry Guerra; brothers, Siegfried "Ziggy" Lessau and brother-in-law, Leo Guerra.  Anita is survived by daughters, Erica (David Avalos) Guerra and Stacie (Valentine) Soto-Paz; brother, Wolfgang Lessau; sister, Heidi  Guerra, sister, Sherry (Jimmy) McKee; sister-in-law, Patricia Burris; grandchildren, Cheyenne (Dustin) Maxwell, Johnny Joe Maxwell, Michael (Destiny Chavez) Guerra, Jessica Secatero, David (Aracely) Avalos, Jr., Adrian Avalos, Katrina Espino, great-grandchildren, Shaedyn Smith, Ezra Avalos, Elizabeth Secatero, Lucas Green, Jesenia Soto-Paz, Tatiana Torres, Demitri Torres, Mateo  Padilla, Juliana Padilla, Malia Padilla and many close friends. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, 10:00 am, at Disabled American Veterans Chapter #24, 200 N. Fifth St., Socorro. Interment to follow at Lemitar Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cheyenne Maxwell, Johnny Joe Maxwell, Michael Guerra, David Avalos Jr. and Adrian Avalos.
