Anita De Leon Molinar

Anita De Leon Molinar passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Mrs. Molinar was accomplished and successful in both her personal and professional life. She, along with her husband, Atilano (A.J.) Molinar, were the owners and operators of Molinar’s Restaurant in Carlsbad, NM, and the Wiz Ski Inn in Rio Rancho, NM. Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Atilano (A.J.) Jesus Molinar, son Johnny and his wife Socorro, son Daniel, daughter Catherine and her husband Steve Knapp, granddaughter Carly Knapp, son Victor Molinar and son Ponty. Anita is survived by her loving children David Molinar and his wife Melissa of Tijeras, NM, daughter Melissa Quesada and her husband Jose of Rio Rancho, NM, grandchildren, Patricia (Charlie) Gilbert and her husband John, Michael Molinar and wife, Cristina, Atilano (Jay) Molinar and his wife Jennifer, David P. Molinar Jr., Kimberly Quesada, Joseph Quesada, Juan Knapp and his wife Dana, and many great-grandchildren. Nothing brought more joy to Anita than spending time with her family and making tacos for all who came into her home. She had an enormous heart and a great love of helping those in need. Anita also had a great love for her extended family from the Wiz Ski Inn. She loved going to the casino, watching novellas, and reading the newspaper. Anita will be greatly missed by all her knew and loved her.
