Anita (Anna) Maria F. Sandoval, fell asleep in the loving arms of our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Saturday, August 31th, 2024. She was 92. She was born in Laredo, Texas to Alberto and Otila Flores. She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Humberto (Bert) Sandoval, her mother, father, sisters, and brothers; with one surviving sister, Maria Elena Flores of Laredo, Texas.
Anita was a loving Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, Tia, and friend. She is survived by her seven children and their spouses, Gerald Sandoval of Albuquerque, NM, David and Kathy Sandoval, Belinda Sandoval, and Daniel and Barbara Sandoval of Socorro, NM; Ruby and Bill Charlton of Cedar Creek, Texas, Lonnie and Anna Sandoval of Silver City, NM, and Mary and Gary Clayton of Los Lunas, NM. She is also survived by her beloved nineteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was very active in her community. Her hobbies included singing in the San Miguel Church Choir, bowling, softball, volleyball, selling Southwest jewelry, and ministering the Word of God. She loved her family dearly, was a prayer warrior, and touched everyone’s heart with her smile and love.
Thank you mother, for being our guiding light toward Jesus Christ and reminding us that the “Lord hears the prayers of the faithful.” We will miss you dearly. Until we see you again.
A mass will be held at the San Miguel Catholic Church in Socorro, New Mexico on Friday, September 13, at 10am. Anita will be interred in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with her family members and beside her husband in Laredo, Texas.
