Anne Burton

Burton, Anne R Age 92, of Albuquerque passed away on March 22, 2013. She was born January 5, 1921 in Memphis, Tennessee to Wilson and Annie Rhoton. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. Anne retired from a position as a social worker at UNMH but was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed her roses and was actively involved in the Friends of the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad. She is preceded in death by her husband Francis C. Burton (24 years) and husband Roy D. Gallea (34 years), by her sons: Michael R. Gallea, Stephen R. Gallea, and Alan E. Gallea, grandsons: Benjamin Gallea and William Hile. She is survived by her brothers Wilson P. Rhoton (Francis) of Mt. Holly, NC, Ray Rhoton (Fran) of Leland, MI, and Dale (Elaine) of San Diego,CA, step-daughter: Corene Hile of Mesa AZ, daughter-in-laws: Annelie Gallea and Linda Gallea of Albuquerque, grandchildren: Eric Gallea (Brenda) of Gallup, NM, Roy Gallea(Valerie) of Littleton, Co, Elizabeth Gallea of Austin, TX, Linda Hile of Cleveland, OH, Mary Hile of Bronxville, NY and Charles Hile of Horsham, PA, great-grandchildren: Caiden, Mia, Connor, Ashley and Jackson. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date with interment at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
