Artemia Carrillo de Ortiz

Mrs. Artemia Carrillo de Ortiz passed away peacefully on November 26th , 2022, in Rio Rancho, New
Mexico, at the age of 75 years old.

Artemia is survived by her loving husband Avelino Ortiz Ortiz, her sons Ignacio Ortiz Carrillo, Avelino
Ortiz Carrillo, her daughters Margarita Ortiz de Robles, Alejandra Ortiz Carrillo, and Griselda Ortiz-
Vasquez. Artemia is also survived by her grandchildren, Estefania Ortiz Manzanarez, Gustavo Ortiz
Manzanarez, Alan Jasiel Ortiz Manzanarez, Andres Ortiz-Moore, Bryan Ortiz-Moore, Alessandra Robles-
Ortiz, Alan Hassiel Najera-Ortiz, Christian Najera-Ortiz, Ariel Homero Vasquez-Ortiz, and Emily Vasquez-
Ortiz.

Artemia was born on Tuesday, April 22 nd , 1947, in Veracruz, Mexico, to Melesia Hernandez Gonzales and
Enedino Carrillo Flores. She went to elementary school in Veracruz, Mexico. Artemia married Avelino
Ortiz Ortiz in Veracruz, Mexico, on March 18, 1966. They were married for 56 years and had five
children.

Artemia enjoyed life with love and happiness, she loved singing, dancing, cooking, and making tamales
for her family. Artemia was friendly to all who met her. She loved her family dearly and unconditionally.
Artemia was a warrior in her life, a hard worker, and an excellent wife, mother and grandmother.

She will be dearly missed, always loved and never forgotten
