On Friday, July 31, 2026, we said our final goodbye to Arturo Dario Padilla, aged 90, who held a special place in our hearts as a cherished father, husband, grandfather, son and great-grandfather. He came into this world on May 8, 1936, in Gallinas, New Mexico, as the beloved child of Jose Dario Padilla and Brijida Duran. His journey in this world was marked by love, commitment to family, and moments that enriched everyone who had the honor of knowing him.
Arturo’s life was deeply rooted in family, shaped by a never-ending devotion to those he loved. Though his beloved wife, Mary Consuela Padilla, preceded him in death, the legacy they built together endures through their son, Joseph Clarence Padilla.
Arturo leaves behind a devoted family who will forever keep his memory alive: his loving son, Joseph Clarence Padilla; his devoted grandchildren, Cathy Watson, Joseph Padilla, Mireyah Hernandez, and Aaliyah Hernandez; and his precious great-grandchildren, Marissa Watson and Noah Watson. While he is greatly missed, his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
To honor the life of Arturo Dario Padilla, a Rosary will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, located at 5712 Paradise Blvd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114. A Mass will follow immediately after the Rosary. The family invites all who shared in Arturo’s life to join them in remembering him and finding comfort together.
Arturo’s journey has ended, but the love, wisdom, and kindness he showed throughout his years remain an indelible part of the lives he touched. He will be lovingly remembered, deeply missed, and forever honored.
