Avis N. Simpson

SIMPSON - Avis Noreen Simpson, 93, resident of Albuquerque since 1952, passed away January 23, 2009. She was born in San Diego, CA. Noreen, our quick-witted and fiesty spirited "Granny" was a nurse in her early years, and lead a very independent and active life into her nineties. She is also remembered by many as the swim team Granny for the "A"-Pool. She is survived by her son, James Simpson and his wife, Linda Simpson of Albuquerque; grandson, Michael Simpson and wife, Kristina Simpson of Aliso Viejo, CA; granddaughter, Lila Simpson and husband, John DeCourcey of Albuquerque; other relatives, Charles Hutchinson of Tucson, AZ, Cheryl Gilbert of Riverside, CA, and Jennifer Molenda of El Cajon, CA.
