Barbara “Mema” J. Adkins passed away at her home in Rio Rancho, NM on March 7, 2022 at the age of 63.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Daryl Adkins in Rio Rancho, NM; her daughters, Misty Cordes, Bernadette Doubrava, Michelle Vigil of Rio Rancho, NM and Jeannine St. Pierre of Polk, OH; step daughter, Sarah Hicks of Wooster, OH; step son, Zach Adkins of Lexington, OH; brother, Curtis Coppenbarger of Soap Lake, WA; sister, Cyndie Coppenbarger of Albuquerque, NM; two half-brothers; three half-sisters; mother, Peggy Pease of Grandbury, TX; step-father, Frank Pease; 12 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; and two beloved pets. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Lee Coppenbarger; brother, Michael Coppenbarger; and sister, Teresa Rausch.
Barbara was born on June 10, 1958 in San Mateo, CA to Thomas Lee Coppenbarger and Peggy A. Pease. She graduated from Southern Illinois University with a BS degree in Instructional Design. She married Daryl Adkins on September 6, 1997 at the Old Town Chapel in Albuquerque, NM.
Barbara loved arts and crafts, cooking, baking, canning, gardening, and she loved animals. She will be greatly missed by all her friends and family.
