Barbara J. Allred

Allred- Barbara J. Allred, age 74, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend passed away Saturday, August 1, 2009, after a long battle with breast cancer. She had been a resident of Albuquerque for 52 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar D. Allred. She is survived by her four children; Alise Blankenship of Albuquerque, Julie Allred of Albuquerque, Michael Allred and his wife, Margaret of Rio Rancho, Steven Allred and his wife Mary of Everett, Washington; one sister Janice Wright, and her husband William of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Barbara worked at Lovelace Medical Center for 22 years before retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Barbara touched lives of everyone she knew through her generosity, sense of humor, and her loving personality. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society. Pallbearer's will be Josh Crawley, John Solano, Daniel Solano, Victor Sanchez, Marcus Villarose, and Cole Papen.
