Barbara Leah (Bowlin)
Borowy
August 3, 1936 – March 28, 2026
Santa Fe National Cemetery
Starts at 10:00 am (Mountain time)
Barbara Leah (Bowlin) Borowy 8/3/36-3/28/26
Born in Kansas City, Kansas and died at home surrounded by family in Corrales, NM.
Graduated from Los Alamos High School
She worked for the Air Force as a Quality Assurance inspector who worked on several major aerospace projects. She spent over 30 years on genealogy and traced a branch of our family back to the 700’s. She also worked with a local group that inventoried many of the cemeteries in this area.
Barbara was very loved by her family. She was a content person who loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She was steadfast in her beliefs yet was understanding of those whose ideas contrasted with those beliefs. She was a cat-lover who rescued many cats throughout her life, and she loved her dog Gibbs, despite his foul disposition (sorry, Gibbs). She was a loving mother who stood by her kids throughout their lives and was
always ready to help pick up pieces and offer comfort during difficult times, but also glad to join in celebrations of the happy occasions. She was very present in our lives. She was a voracious reader, and until his death was Rush Limbaugh’s number one fan. At any time, Barbara could happily inform the interested family (and sometimes, the uninterested) of the political goings-on in the country. She stayed loyal to Tucker and was an unapologetic Trump supporter. She was proud of voting for him three times-Go MAGA! She was patriotic, and until the end was grateful for the sacrifices made by all veterans. Everything she did, she gave it her all. She was an inspiration to all of us and we’ll never stop missing her.
Barbara is survived by:
