Barbara Maxine Mangum, age 84, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. She was born on August 19, 1941, in Galveston, Texas.

Barbara was a hardworking and dedicated woman who spent 39 years operating Mangum Enterprises Chili in Jemez Springs, New Mexico. Through her business, she became well known and loved throughout the community. Barbara also proudly supported American troops overseas by donating her chili products, a gesture that reflected her generous spirit and deep appreciation for those who served our country.

She was admired for her strength, wisdom, and willingness to help others. Barbara touched the lives of many women through her knowledge, encouragement, and advice, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her kindness, resilience, and loving nature will always be remembered.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Rae M. Lutgen of Aztec, New Mexico; her granddaughter, Grace S. Mangum of Jemez Springs, New Mexico; her great-grandson, Vitali Jaramillo of Jemez Springs, New Mexico; and her great-granddaughter, Treah Jaramillo. She was loved deeply by her family and many friends and will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
