Barbara Micetich

Miss Barbara J. Micetich, of Jemez Springs, N.M. died on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 in Rio Rancho. Cremation was held at Daniels Family Funeral Services.

Born July 6, 1933 in Morris, IL, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Genevieve (Borowski) Micetich. She attended Immaculate Conception Grade School and St. Angela's Academy in Morris.

She joined the Sisters of the Holly Cross in South Bend, IN in 1952. She left that order in 1967. Miss Micetich taught 7th and 8th grades in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana for 20 years. She was an educational consultant, the manager of Consulting Services with Houghton Mifflin Publishing Company in Geneva, IL.

She retired to New Mexico in 1988 and has been employed by Manzano Day School as the caretaker at Fenton Ranch since 1990. Barbara is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Carol Micetich of Plano, IL and her cousin John Micetich of Coal City, IL. A memorial event will be planned in the future.
