Beatroce M. Zozaya

Beatrice M. Zozaya, age 79, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully, Sunday, January 12, 2014, while surround by her loving family. She was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. Beatrice will be fondly remembered as a "Fashionista" as her daughter called her; a lady of high standards. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcelino and Cleotilde Garcia; sisters, Anges Lujan, Rebecca Garcia; brothers, John and Frank Garcia; her husband, Armando Zozaya. Beatrice is survived by her loving children, Michael Zozaya and wife Cheryl of Laguna Hills, CA, Irene Valenzuela and husband Arthur of Rowland Heights, CA, Edward Zozaya and wife Judaline of Mesa, AZ, and Kathryn Tafoya and husband Andrew of Albuquerque, NM; her grandchildren, Raquel, Edward Jr., Katrina, David, Eric, Samantha; great-grandchildren, Kaithyn, Ynaya, Edward III, Lynex, and David; her brother Tom Garcia; and many other relatives and friends. Beatrice will be greatly missed by all. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 15, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, 9420 Fourth St., NW, where a Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Final Viewing will be Thursday morning from 8:00 a.m to 8:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Daniels - Alameda Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Interment will follow at the Pajarito Cemetery.
