Benjamin Raymond Montaño
September 17, 1954- February 4, 2026
Benjamin (Ben) Montaño, age 71, a gentle husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend passed away on February 4, 2026.
In loving memory of a kind man who fiercely loved his family and friends. Ben never met a stranger, spending time talking to everyone he came in contact with. He made friends easily and found ways to help everyone who asked. Ben and his wife Amanda were married for 49 years and 7 months before he was called home. They were each other’s first and only loves and they created a beautiful life together. Ben was a supportive and loving father who raised one child and loved being with his grandchildren and son-in-law. Ben worked his whole life using his artistic abilities and his mathematical mind to create jewelry, design homes, landscapes, and even electrical elements that went into space. Despite a career indoors, Ben loved nature. He was happiest while fishing, hiking, hunting, or just being outdoors. More than anything, Ben loved Jesus and shared His love with everyone he came in contact with.
He is survived by his wife, Amanda; his only child, Erlinda (Tribou) and her husband, Greg; and his grandchildren, Avery and Aria.
He is also survived by his three sisters: Estelle Marie Montaño, Lorrie Montaño, and Gloria Montaño; his two brothers Juan Montaño and Anthony Montaño along with their spouses/partners, children and grandchildren. He also leaves many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Ben was preceded in death by his father Juan Montaño, mother Erlinda Montaño, sisters Erlinda Gulley and Christine Raymond, and grandchildren Aiden and Asher Tribou.
