Bennie Segura

SEGURA - Bennie Segura, age 83, beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, August 9, 2010, while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Cochiti Pueblo, NM and was a resident of Sile, NM. Bennie was a very noble, humble and very devoted mother and grandmother; whom was respected by her family and the community. She was an opinionated person with a big heart and a helping hand. Bennie’s favorite past time was with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing. Bennie is survived by her loving children, Deacon Joe Segura and wife Reina, Arthur, Danny, Michael and wife Diana, Lupe and wife Ebbie, Gene and wife Annette and Mary Bustillos and husband Adolfo; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; her brother, Tony Torrez and wife Blanche; numerous nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Bennie will be greatly missed by all. A rosary will be recited Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. at St. Barbara Church in Sile, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Sile Community Cemetery. Casket Bearers will be Sam Bustillos, Cory Segura, John Segura, Joey Segura, Chris Segura, Joseph Garcia, and Jorge Bustillos. Honorary Bearers will be Jacob, Patrick, Mario, Rigo, Hector, Isaac, Donovan, Ambrose, Xavier, and Armoni.
