Bernice Hare

October 23, 1928 — July 7, 2020

After 91 years of life on this Earth, Bernice has gone to her mansion that our Lord has prepared for her.  Bernice was not afraid of death, but was ready to meet our Heavenly Father.  She passed on July 7, 2020 and has joined her son Donald Jr., daughter Frances; granddaughter Yvette; great-grandson Paul, great-granddaughters Angel and Gabriela; brothers; Casimiro, Frank, Cleofes, Henry, Max and Romulo and sisters; Antonia, Juanita, and Candelaria, and her parents Romulo and Frances Garcia.

Bernice is survived by her sister Rosina and by six of her eight children; Grace, Debbie, David, Jeanette (husband Alex), Carmen (husband Herald) and James (wife Carrie); grandchildren Michelle, Renae, Nicholas, Cynthia (husband Jorge), Monica (husband Miguel), Annabell, D’Anna, David Jr., Johnathon, Brenda, Malea, James; and 21 great-grandkids Dominic, Miguel, Victoria, Jasmyn, Paul, Jame, Julian, Rueben, Allie, Julianna, Cristiana, Eliana, Alizabella, Trinity, Kayla, Aleigha, Donaciano (DJ), RosaLeigh, Xavier, all who loved their  “Sister, Mama, Grandma, and GG” so very much.

She was a women of Faith, Hope and most importantly Love.  Bernice (Mom) showed us how to honor, obey, and live a life serving God and others. She always attended Mass until she got ill, and would then watch Mass on TV, and if possible requested Holy Communion.  Bernice loved to crochet and make tortillas until her hands could no longer, she also loved to do word searches, and her grandkids would make sure she was never without a book.

Please note that a Mass will be offered for Bernice Hare at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87105 on July 23, 2020 at 11:00 am.  Burial will take place immediately after mass at Mt. Calvary located at 1900 Edith NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico 87102, but is limited to immediate family.

A reception will not be held at this time due to the current circumstances, but we hope to have one later to celebrate Bernice’s life and share stories.

DUE TO THE CORONOVIRUS, PLEASE WEAR A FACE MASK, AND OBSERVE SOCIAL DISTANCING WITH THE FAMILY AND OTHERS DURING THE FUNERAL MASS.
