Funeral Services for Bertha Yazzie Owaleon 77 of Farmington, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday September 29, 2010 at Cope Memorial Chapel at 9:00 am with burial following in Qunicy Panteah Memorial Cemetery in Zuni, New Mexico. Ms. Owaleon was born January 27, 1933 in Farmington, New Mexico and died September 24, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico. She was born of the One Who Walks Around clan for the Mexican Clan She was an advocate of education and enjoyed beading and crocheting. Survivors include her sons Gilbert Owaleon, and Travis Owaleon from Zuni, New Mexico. Daughters Rose Poncho from Farmington, New Mexico and Matilda Owaleon"Ojeda of San Jose, California, a brother James Yazzie from Sawmill, Az. 15 grandchildren and 14 Great grandchildren. Pallbearers are Jace Poncho, Shane Tsosie, Ravis Owaleon Jr. Travis Owaleon, Bryan Owaleon and Michael Owaleon.
