Bette Claire D'Arco peacefully passed away on July 2, 2026, at the age of 96, after living an extraordinary 35,135 days. Each day was a gift, and she filled them with love for her family, quiet faith, kindness, and an appreciation for the beauty found in everyday life.

Bette delighted in tending her flowers, celebrating Christmas, collecting Native American art, traveling, and watching the cardinals that always seemed to brighten her day. She found joy in simple moments and in creating a warm, welcoming home where family gathered, stories were shared, and memories were made.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love, spunky spirit, and steady presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cathy Thompson and her husband Carl; Janna Pfautz and her husband Bob; Her stepson Joe D’Arco and his wife Louise; her granddaughter, Heather Carroll; her great-granddaughter, Hannah Claire and her husband, Blake; her loving dog Zoey; along with extended family and dear friends.

In accordance with Bette's wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date.
