"A life that touches others goes on forever" Unknown

Betty Ruth Brewer, 76, of Rio Rancho, New Mexico passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 22nd, 2025, after a prolonged illness.

Betty was born on January 22nd, 1949, to Claire and Fred Herford in Norman, Oklahoma. In the early 70's she moved to New Mexico where she raised her family. She embraced the life of a farmer's wife, and transitioned to dedicated mother, successful businesswoman in whatever field she chose to be in, and devoted grandmother.

She was a talented crafter, everything from crochet, crosstitch and painting, often gifting her loved ones the beautiful creations she made. Betty and her husband Sam would love going on adventures and travel across the United States and beyond. She found joy in travelling and seeing family. She was one of the middle children of seven other brothers and sisters, with whom she shared a deep bond throughout her life, often sharing adventures with them on trips across the country. Betty would always reminisce about these trips as some of her favorite memories.

Betty's strength of will empowered her to overcome many challenges and obstacles throughout her life, and saw her rise above them to thrive, and continue to love and be a warrior for her family. Her same strength saw her through multiple battles of cancer, inspiring those around her to never give up, and always have hope in your heart.

She was predeceased by her husband of nearly 40 years, Sam L. Brewer, and her daughter Jessica L. Roush. She is survived by her daughters Dorinda Brewer and spouse, Amanda Cuccio, son in law KC Roush, 9 grandchildren, one great grandchild, numerous brothers and sisters, and many, many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
