Betty Jo Goldsmith Minshall

Betty Jo Minshall passed peacefully on April 21, 2024.  Betty Jo was born on June 4, 1933 to Dorothy Williams and Frank Grey in Sidney, NE.   Her parents divorced early, and she was later adopted by Henry Goldsmith.  She is survived by her daughters Renden (Jeffrey) Hornung and Terrin Lands, and her grandson Reid Lands.  She also leaves behind granddaughters Ashley and Amanda Hornung.   Betty Jo had two sisters, Mary Lee Degarbo and Kay Bazanelle that passed before her as well as a surviving adopted sister Patricia Goldmith Lydic of Rogue River, OR.  Betty Jo was a proud 48 year employee of Mountain Bell and Southwestern Bell until she retired in 1999.  She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America and Eastern Star - Springer Chapter.   She volunteered in the community at the Albuquerque Little Theater, library and the Tombstone Group.  Betty Jo loved and bred German Shepherds, making jewelry, hot air ballooning, reading and drawing.  Visitation will be held at Daniel’s Funeral Home, 2400 Southern Blvd, Rio Rancho on May 16, 2024 from 3-4 pm with a short service to follow.   Interment will take place on May 17 at Fairmont Cemetery in Raton, NM.
