Betty Irene Porter

Porter, Betty I. Age 85, resided at the Cottages in Albuquerque, NM for the last 7 years, passed on Sunday, 8/5/2012 around 7:30 pm after suffering from Alzheimer's. Betty was born August 15, 1926 in Buffalo Hart, Il to Shelby Lloyd and Geneva Snider Matthews. Betty was the oldest of nine children. Betty married Arlie E. Porter, June 1944 and they had 3 children. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlie Porter in 1998; siblings, Herb, and Leah; son, Paul Porter in 1999. She is survived by her son, Dan Porter and wife Nanci of La Jolla, CA and their daughter, Julia Wilson and husband Kevin of San Diego, CA; daughter, Linda Porter of Albuquerque, NM; daughter-in-law, Mary Drutis-Porter of Tacoma, WA and her two daughters, Emily Porter of New Zealand and Samantha Porter of Seattle, WA; siblings, Vera, John, Shirley, Mary, Jim, and William; numerous nieces and nephews and in-laws; grand-doggy's and grand-kitties.
