BOYD-Bill David Boyd, 60, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, went to be with the Lord after a brief illness. Mr. Boyd was born Dec. 28, 1949, to Bill and Ida Mae (Lowe Boyd) of Russell, Kan. He graduated from Farmington High School, where he played baseball. After high school he served in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged from the Army, he worked as a driller in the oil fields of Farmington, California, Arizona, the Gulf of Mexico and Saudi Arabia. Mr. Boyd was preceded in death by his mother, Ida Loyd; stepfather, Clif Loyd; and father, Bill Boyd. He is survived by his children, Bill John Boyd and wife, Glorimar, of Oklahoma City, Okla., Deanna Boyd Merrell of Farmington and Angie Boyd of Mesa, Ariz.; grandchildren, Tyren Merrell, Chandler Boyd and Cleo Boyd; sister, Jeannie McKee and husband, Larry; nieces, Ginger Sims, Tammy Minhinnick, and Jennifer McKee; and numerous aunts, uncles, and grand nieces and nephew. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Daniels Family Funeral Services, 4310 Sara Road SE in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park in Rio Rancho.
